This 40ft skeletal semi-trailer is built on a heavy I-beam main girder (typical height ≈500 mm with top/bottom flange plates 14–16 mm and a middle plate 8–10 mm) to deliver torsional stiffness and long service life; standard mechanical leaf-spring suspension with 3×13–16T axles (brands FUWA/BPW/ZW commonly offered) provides robust load support up to ~60t while keeping maintenance simple. The chassis normally fits 12 twist locks (configurable), kingpin options (2" or 3.5"/50#/90#), and a 28T two-speed landing gear — all common choices when ordering container chassis.
The trailer’s systems include a dual-line pneumatic brake setup (WABCO optional/ABS available), 24V electrical with 7-pin receptacle and standard 6-core cable, spare wheel brackets, tool box, and naked (wax-polished) shipping packing or container transport packaging. Finish and color are customer-selectable with primer + 2 coats paint; manufacturers commonly offer factory options such as reinforced floor plates, ABS, different axle ratings and tyre/rim choices to meet regulations and payload targets.
