The L5000’s chassis uses a high-strength double-layer frame and a Hand 9T single-stage rear axle with selectable ratios (3.7 / 4.111), paired to the Weichai WP7H245E68 engine producing 245 HP and 950 N·m torque — this combination yields strong climbing and overtaking ability while keeping fuel economy competitive. With a Fast 8JS95TE-C 8-speed gearbox (or optional AMT), the platform supports highway speeds up to ~110 km/h and practical fuel consumption around 18–22 L/100 km (empty/loaded mixed).
The vehicle’s upper body is configurable (box, stake, curtain, or cage) with a standard internal cargo size of ≈9600×2450×2600 mm giving ~60–65 m³ volume — ideal when volume (capacity) matters alongside payload.
